Summer Lamp!

This week I decided to move my lamp studio (and I use this term liberally) to my shop.  I looked around shop and found some great stuff to piece together and what you see is the end product.  Seems that ceramic drill bits require liberal doses of water to prevent them from burning up.  Three bits later I figured it out. Now that I have the hang of it, everything that comes through the doors will be subject to the "would this make a good lamp?" test!  Yes ... a whole new world just lit up!

Memorial Day and SUMMER!

SOLD!  Summer!  The season of flowers, fun in the water, shorts and garage sales.  Now you know how I love garage sales.  Only problem is ... the early birds get all the good worms, and they only happen on weekends.  Here is the solution for all you garage sale warriors out there ... garage sale first, stop by my shop second.  I might want what you found and you might want what someone else found.  Kind of like a garage sale exchange program!

Good luck out there and I hope to see you on Saturday!

P.S.  --- here is a great phone/radio combo that came in this week.  A very novel idea if I don't say so myself.

Spring!

Spring arrived in Echo just yesterday, when one of my consignors trooped in with the beautiful rug!  Its cheerful design and perfect condition just had to make me smile.

Time to smell the flowers ... or walk on them if you buy the rug!

BELIEVE!!

Someday very soon, the wind will stop blowing, the sun will shine and the temperature will soar. Someday, we can shed our wool socks and even in Montana, we will move our outdoor furniture ... well, outdoors!

When that day happens, we here at Echo are prepared. We have twig side tables, sturdy yet stylish benches in all shapes and sizes, picnic baskets, flower pots and this fancy little park bench modeled by my friend Carl Duncan.

Swing by and check out my “Spring Collection”. Without a doubt, Spring will come and I want you to have something new (to you) in your garden!  SOLD!

Earth Month Contest Winner Announced

Happy May Day!

As promised, today is the big day that I pick the winner of the Earth Month globe contest! Congratulations Kat Donovan! Kat came to the shop with her mom and took the globe and many other items for a spin! A true fan of consignment furniture stores if ever I’ve seen one! Stay tuned .. there will be more chances to win.

For those of you who will be fixing up the garden this weekend, here’s a clever idea. I have a barbed wire wreath to enhance any garden shed! See photo. Just imaging one of these hanging on the side of the garage with roses winding around. Talk about sustainable decorating! Hummm ... I think I’ll try that myself!
